Kaiju No. 8: Mission Recon In a Japan under siege by Kaiju, Kafka Hibino works in the Kaiju Cleanup Crew, a unit responsible for disposing of Kaiju remains. After reuniting with Mina Ashiro, a childhood friend who has become a rising star in the Anti-Kaiju Defense Force, he decides to revive the dream he once abandoned — to join the force himself.
