Along with her team, she braves the dangerous crossings between the zones to deliver medical aid to the time-ravaged Evergreen Zone, where resources are also scarce. On her first journey, the 28-years-old Ann-Jean meets Tato (Hsu Kuang-Han), a 13-year-old street-smart boy. While she sees him as a clever, wisecracking troublemaker, Tato falls for her instantly. Determined to stay by her side, he volunteers for the White Doves team, risking his life to smuggle medicine and supplies, and learning to treat patients. Like a wild blue daisy blooming in the ruins, his fierce vitality plants itself in Ann-Jean’s heart.
