หนังภาพยนตร์ DEAR YOU หรือในชื่อภาษาไทยว่า จดหมายรักถึงอาม่า เรื่องราวของ "เสี่ยวเว่ย" ชายหนุ่มชาวจีนที่ตัดสินใจเดินทางมายังประเทศไทย เพื่อตามหาคุณปู่ที่ขาดการติดต่อกับครอบครัวที่ประเทศจีนไปนานหลายสิบปี แต่การเดินทางเพื่อตามหาญาติผู้ใหญ่ในครั้งนี้กลับนำพาเขาไปพบกับความลับที่ถูกซ่อนไว้นานกว่า 70 ปีผ่าน "โพยก๊วน" หรือจดหมายที่ชาวจีนโพ้นทะเลนิยมใช้ส่งกลับไปหาครอบครัวที่บ้านเกิดในยุคอดีต

เมื่อเสี่ยวเว่ยค่อยๆ ค้นพบจดหมายเก่าแก่เหล่านั้น เขาก็ต้องพบกับความจริงบางอย่างที่ไม่มีใครในครอบครัวเคยล่วงรู้มาก่อน ว่าชายผู้เพียรเขียนจดหมายรักและส่งเงินกลับมาหา "อาม่า" ของเขามาตลอดชีวิตนั้น แท้จริงแล้วอาจไม่ใช่คุณปู่ที่เป็นสามีของเธออย่างที่ทุกคนเข้าใจมาโดยตลอด! จากจดหมายธรรมดาเพียงฉบับเดียว นำไปสู่การเดินทางตามหาความทรงจำ รากเหง้า และความรักอันบริสุทธิ์ที่ถูกส่งต่อข้ามกาลเวลา ท่ามกลางบรรยากาศความคลาสสิกของวัฒนธรรมและชุมชนชาวจีนแต้จิ๋วโพ้นทะเลในประเทศไทย

DEAR YOU The film tells the heartwarming and poignant story of Xiaowei, a young man from China who travels to Thailand in search of his grandfather, who lost contact with his family decades ago. However, this journey leads him to uncover a 70-year-old secret hidden within "Qiaopi"—traditional letters containing messages and remittances sent by overseas Chinese immigrants back to their families in their homeland.

As Xiaowei slowly pieces together the old, concealed letters, he discovers a profound truth that no one in his family ever knew: the man who had been writing those devoted love letters to his Grandma all her life might not actually be her husband as everyone always believed. What starts as a single letter unfolds into an emotional journey of finding lost memories, tracing family roots, and discovering a pure, time-transcending love, all set against the nostalgic backdrop of the overseas Teochew Chinese community in Thailand.
